Pharmacies by state

Browse pharmacy locations in every US state and territory. Each state page lists the cities and metropolitan areas with the most pharmacies, plus a complete index of stores with addresses and hours.

Why a state-by-state directory

Pharmacy regulation in the United States is largely a state matter. Each state board of pharmacy sets its own rules for operating hours, after-hours staffing, prescription transfers, immunization scope, and which medications are stocked behind the counter. That means the hours and services at a CVS in Texas can look very different from a CVS in Oregon, even when the brand is identical. Organizing by state reflects how Americans actually shop for pharmacy services — by what is open near them, today, in their state.

This index covers all 50 states plus the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. Counts shown above represent the number of distinct pharmacy locations in our directory, drawn from public mapping data and contributed updates. Some rural states will show smaller counts because there are genuinely fewer pharmacies in those regions; others may be undercounted simply because the public data has not yet caught up to recent openings or relocations.

How state pages are organized

Inside each state page you'll find: a list of the largest cities by pharmacy count, an A-Z index of brands operating in that state, and a long-form alphabetical list of every store. Click any store to reach its dedicated location page with weekly hours, address, phone number, and any holiday notes we have on file.
